Here we are in June already. We are playing good baseball, not great. We were playing great baseball two weeks ago, but right now we are hovering the .500 winning percentage. Last couple of days have been tough here at home, but we should get back on the winning end going into this weekend. On a personal note, things are going well for me. I've been seeing the ball really good. Taking my walks, and hitting homeruns which is always fun. My pregame routines feel really good, and my game plans have been right on with the way teams have been attacking me, and finally the execution has been there and that is the reason for the results, I feel. But lets not forget, its not my doing, first and foremost, its God's will. I can never take credit for any success because God gives it, and can take it away just as easily. We are doing a good team bible study on King David, 1 Samuel in the old testament, its been going good. Learning about his faith in God, his trials, and the way he responded. The one thing that is amazing about David is that at the end of the day, he always trusted in the Lord, Prayed to the Lord, and acted according to God's response. That is a lesson I think we all can take from David. Till Next Time, God Bless |

We are one month into the season and we have had our ups and downs so far. At this moment we are going to our lowest point, but this is also the toughest part of our schedule all year. Like I said last journal, we have a young team and we expect an emotion driven season. Highs will be high, and it is part my job for the lows to not be so low. Personally I feel that I have had a good start and I just want to be able to stay consistent as much as possible. On a side note off the field, we are doing a bible study on David and his story. It has been great to be able to talk about his life and compare it to both our life, and baseball, although his battles were not the same as ours, the life trials and personal battle against sin are issues you can relate to. Saturday on the first week of the season, so far pretty good for us. We are playing good baseball and having some exciting games with lots of energy. I am really enjoying the team so far, with a lot of new faces, the chemistry has been great, the guys are all going about their business like veterans and we are having fun. Five days in and I am very excited for the rest of the year.
On a different subject, I want to thank every person who was able to attend the Bowling Bash on April 5th. The event went great, we were able to raise 27,000 dollars for the San Pasqual Academy athletics department. The event itself was a whole lot of fun, we had some great bowlers, Corky’s Pest Control was the big winner. I also want to thank all the celebrities who were kind to take their time to support our event. Among the celebrities we had Charger players as well as most of my teammates with the Padres, and some on camera and on air personalities.
I am also very anxious to get to open up Citi Field in New York on Monday. Being able to get any first for such a stadium will be awesome. It will be cold, but the energy will be enough to warm it up.
